greenspray on "Contact form 7 usage"

I am relatively new to Wordpress. So this is my first project for wordpress. I need a 'Contact Us' which I made using the template but I need the actual meat, that is where Contact form 7 comes in. The installation says, just to copy and paste the code [contact-form-7 id="1234" title="Contact form 1"] I tried my best with my intiution but to fail. I tried to paste in Pages>Edit Page and also directly pasted in my text editor but it doesn't seem to work? Please excuse my noobness. I started it a day ago. (I usally do Arduino and python)
